Yerkapp — an appointment system for businesses

Customers see the free slots themselves and book; the calendar fills even while you are closed. Reminder notifications cut down on people who do not turn up. The business side is a subscription, the customer side is free.

What it solves

If appointments are kept by phone, three things happen together: the call that comes outside working hours is missed, the times in the book clash, and the customer who does not turn up wastes that slot.

Yerkapp moves all three to the system side. Customers see and pick a free slot themselves, clashes are blocked by duration, and the reminder notification goes out automatically.

What the business side has

The customer side is free

Whoever books pays nothing: no membership, no subscription, no commission per appointment. They pay for the service to the business, on the spot. The subscription is on the business side only.

There is no in-app payment or deposit collection. If that is what you are looking for, Yerkapp is not the right tool; saying so at the start beats disappointment later.

Who uses it

Any work that runs on appointments: hairdressers and barbers, beauty salons, dental and aesthetic clinics, car repair, technical repair, consulting. Because there is a chair-rental mode, salons with renting staff inside them can use it too — a renter sees only their own appointments and their own report.

If you work in a tourist area the 8-language interface earns its keep; I wrote about that separately on the Alanya page.

Frequently asked

Do I have to set up a server or buy a device?
No. It runs from the browser and the phone; there is no installation, server or licence to deal with.
How do I book a customer who does not have the app?
With a guest appointment. You write whoever phones or walks in into the calendar by name; that customer’s record and history are kept too.
What does it do about customers who do not turn up?
You mark them as a no-show. Where it repeats, a graduated, time-limited booking block is applied across the platform. You can also set a cut-off such as "cannot be cancelled within three hours of the appointment".
Is there bookkeeping and e-invoicing?
No. There is an income and expenses book, but e-invoicing, stock tracking, health and treatment records and package-credit deduction are out of scope.
What does it cost?
The business side is a monthly or yearly subscription. Current plans are on yerkapp.com. The customer side is completely free.
Does it connect to my own site?
Yes. You get a link or a QR code from your site to the booking screen; the customer books without being thrown somewhere else. If I am building the site as well, I set the two up together — website page.
